ABOUT US

Burgundy Books Office
Burgundy Books is five years old this year. Located a few steps up from the Connecticut River in East Haddam Village which was named in 1001 Places to Go Before You Die in the United States and Canada by Patricia Schultz.
We celebrate being in short walking distance to The Goodspeed Musical Theater and two fine restaurants, The Gelston House, and La Vita Gustosa.
We carry mainstream bestsellers and books recommended by Indie Bound booksellers. We also have titles that are exclusives.
We take real pride in introducing new authors to readers from Chicago, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and California. It is much more fun to promote these authors, and later find out that their books receive awards and movie offers. Or they find their way on major shows like the View, Oprah, NPR, the Diane Rheim Show, and C-Span.
We work hard to provide a warm atmosphere for authors that are travel weary. In a sense, coming to us is like a mini vacation.
We provide free membership for readers that sign up and they receive 10% off everything in the store.
Yes, our phone message can be long, but we want to make sure you don’t miss the
Great events that are up and coming.
We don’t want you to support our store because it saves the community - it sounds like another obligation, and we have too many already.
We want you to come because it is exciting here at Burgundy Books. You can depend on us providing a mixture of great books, great authors, wonderful art, music.
To our readership, thank you for letting us serve you.
